Vanessa has finished her Wing of the Moth Shawl!
It took her less than two days, start to finish. She didn't even have the yarn when the rest of us started knitting. Congratulations Vanessa, that's one incredible accomplishment! Talk about humbling!
The rest of us are still going though, to see who comes in second (I don't think it will be me. I think I'm currently close to the end). I'll do the drawing for prizes at the beginning of next week (Anne came up with some incredible, fabulous prizes - more on those later too!)
And some new racers: they joined up late, but if I've learned anything from watching Vanessa, they have a fighting chance of placing in the top three! I'll put up their links when my e-mail stops acting up.
Oh, and the Saturday Sky:

Holy Cow!! I didn't expect to see someone finish so quickly. This has been the fastest race I have ever seen. I can't wait to see yours when it is done.
How'd she do it!!?? She did a beautiful job, too!
It is so gorgeous. She must really be a lunatic to have done that though ;-)
WOW! JUSt amazing! C
and i still think we should have a red lantern prize (did you get me email about that?) for the people who bet on whomever comes in last!

Unbelievable. Unbelievable!
I voted for Vanessa before I read on her blog that she didn't even have her yarn yet! But I tell you, I have seen this woman knit. I'm not surprised that she is finished. She is one heck of a gal!
Nobody<< knits as fast as Vanessa. I saw her Fern completed in one week. Can't wait for the prizes!
